At Bamfield Sportfishing, our emphasis is on FISHING!  Our trips are planned around the fishing, not the eating.  We target the best times of the day for fishing whatever run we are after at the time.  Our lodging reflects this basic idea, and lets you book a lodging package to suit your budget.  We offer various packages, from cozy waterfront cabins, where you can look after your own meals in the fully self contained units, to fully catered lodge style accommodations, where everything from breakfast, to bagged lunches for your day on the water, to a gourmet dinner upon your arrival at the dock is provided.

A lot of our guests choose our 'Fisherman's package' which is a basic pkg. including lodging in one of our waterfront cabins, and a day of fully guided fishing.  This lets you look after your own meals and reduces the cost accordingly.

Generally, we are away from the dock at 5:00 am sharp, on our way to the spot of choice that day.  If we are fishing offshore, you can expect to be cruising for about 1 hour to get to the outer banks.  We are already about 10 miles offshore by the time the sun pops up over the mountains, a sight you have to see to believe!  Your day on the water during an offshore trip will be fast and furious with lots of action to keep you busy.  At the end of the day, you will wonder where the time went, until you look in the fish box!  Most days on the banks produce a limit of both Chinook, and Halibut, with some Coho thrown in to round things out.  This year, the Coho will be opened up sooner, with more liberal limits, so you can expect a box full of table fare during the offshore fishery.  The Halibut we target offshore are of the chicken variety, 15 to 40 lbs, although we do hook into the occasional Barn door out there!

The Chinook, depending on the time of year you book will range from 12 lb feeder springs all the way up to knuckle busting 40 pounders!  These fish will test even the most experienced angler, as they are ocean fresh, and nowhere near their spawning stage.  That translates to lots of HORSEPOWER!!  These big boys are tough!

Rates are as follows:
For the 2010 season

All inclusive packages: From $450/person per day.
Fisherman's package: $350/person per day.
Above rates are based on triple occupancy, and subject to change.

Boat rates for campers or people arranging other lodging:
$900 per day
Based on an 8 hr day
Hourly rate is $120 per hr. 6 hr min.
