This year, Bamfield Sportfishing is celebrating its 23rd year guiding anglers in this area, although your head guide, Ian Macdonald, has been fishing these waters for most of his life.

As you can see, the Hielan' Lassie has been a fixture on the West Coast for almost 40 yrs.  Our charter boat guides are all seasoned veterans who have been plying these waters for years, and who know where the big ones live!

Our boats are all covered 24 to 26 foot cruisers that have been specifically set up for our style of fishing.  Able to cruise at up to 30 mph, we will get you to the big one FIRST!

We take pride in being the first boats away from the dock and on the spot every morning.  A lot of action happens most mornings before the rest of the boats are even fishing!  Each boat is fully equipped with all the latest in electronics, including, GPS, radar, radios, and cell phones.  There is a toilet onboard each vessel, as most days we are on the water for at least 8 hrs at a time.

Our goal is to make sure you not only have a great day of fishing, but that you are comfortable as well.
